मोघ

मोघ a. [मह्-घ अच् वा कुत्वं]
1 Vain, useless, fruitless, unprofitable, unsuccessful; याच्ञा मोया वरमधिगु णे नाधेमे लब्धकामा Me. 6; मोघवृत्ति कलभस्य चेष्टितं R. 11. 39; 14. 65; Bg. 9. 12.
2 A imless, purposeless, indefinite.
3 Left, abandoned
4 Idle.

−घा The trumpet flower
−घं ind. In vain, to no purpose, uselessly.
