श्वन् m. [श्वि-कनिन् निº Uṇ. 1. 158]
(Nom. श्वा, श्वानौ, श्वानः; acc. pl. शुनः; शुनी f.) A dog; श्वा यदि क्रि- यते राजा स किं नाश्नात्युपानहं Subhāsh.; Bh. 2. 31; Ms. 2. 208.
