1 The conch-shell, a shell; न श्वेतभा- वमुज्झति शखः शिखिभुक्तमुक्तोपि Pt. 4. 110; शंखान् दध्मुः पृथक् पृथक् Bg. 1. 18.
2 The bone on the forehead; शंखांतरद्योति विलोचनं यत् Ku. 7. 33.
